#1
Focus on fiber and protein. Choose cereal bars, granola bars or energy bars with some protein (check the Nutrition Facts) and some fiber to help keep you full longer.
#2
Pretzels or baked chips are a great low-fat, low-calorie way to satisfy the mid-day munchies.
#3
Choose fruits, vegetables and salads, prepackaged and ready-to-eat. They are high on nutrition, crunchy, convenient, and great tasting.
#4
For a snack that is high in protein and calcium reach for a carton of low-fat milk or yogurt.
#5
It's unrealistic to give up sweet treats if you really enjoy them. Like anything else, eat them 'smartly' and in moderation.
#6
Craving cookies? Animal crackers, fig bars, ginger snaps, pop tarts or graham crackers are great tasting lower fat choices. Pair these with low-fat milk, a protein-rich food, and you've satisfied that craving.
#7
Go nuts. Choose a package of peanuts, almonds, or other favorite nuts. They come packed with protein and fiber.
#8
Don't confuse thirst with hunger. Keep a water bottle handy.
#9
Top off your fuel tank several times a day with snacks. You'll feel energized and satisfied throughout the day.
#10
Variety, balance and moderation are important when eating snacks.

Batch Brewing

From an economical approach, we offer the traditional glass bowl decanters brewing on a 2 or 3-station automatic (at the push of a button) brewer. These brewers are highly reliable and produce coffee in 60 ounce ‘batches’.

Next, we move up to thermal brewers, which come in several type and sizes depending both you specific preferences and the limitations of your facilities. Most popular is the 72 ounce thermal airpot with pump level, swivel base and pull back lids with brew through tops. These units are highly portable – for use in reception areas, lunchroom or conference rooms – and when filled properly can keep coffee hot up to 6 hours.

Another option is the gravity feed thermal dispensers, which can hold up to 84 ounces. They have a brew through lid as well, but also have a site glass to help determine how much product is left. This standard system requires over 26” of overhead cabinet clearance to enable the brewer to fit. If space is an issue, the decanters can be split in half thus only requiring about 20” of overhead clearance.

The final option in the thermal decanter class is the 60 ounce thermal superbowl which is able to fit in a more traditional glass bowl carafe brewing system (only 17’ high) with the warmers modified or removed. It also has a brew through lid.

Thermal Airpot Batch Brewer

We recommend any of the thermal brewing systems for any account purchasing any of our upscale coffees as it maintains the brewed coffee’s integrity more effectively than traditional warmers, which continue to ‘cook’ the coffee after it is made.

One final option is the use of a compact counter top whole bean grinder to ensure that each pot of coffee that is brewed is the freshest it can possibly be. Simply place a filter in the brew basket, slide the basket under the hopper and push the button to get a consistent, measured portion of freshly ground coffee each time you wish to brew. We offer the simple units in both single and dual hopper formats.
